The pictures below show the difference of the machine buffing process before applying glass coating liquids. There are tens of cut & buffing processes though we divided into four typical processes as follows.
1200 grid sandpaper
The black coloured bonnet intentionally damaged with a 1200 grid sandpaper.
Single Process (Buffing)
After polished (with a random orbital sander, an urethane pad and Ark Barrier GX compound). Light scratches had removed and become shinier overall but medium to deep scratches had remained.
2 processes (Cut & Buffing)
After medium cut (with a gear action polisher, a low repulsion pad and Ark Barrier GC and GA compound) and polished (with a random orbital sander, an urethane pad and Ark Barrier GX compound). Medium deep scratches had removed and become much shinier overall but deep scratches had still remained.
4 processes (Cut & Buffing)
After deep cut (with a single action polisher, a long wool hair pad and Ark Barrier GC & GA compound) and medium deep cut (with a single action polisher, an urethane pad and Ark Barrier GA compound) and low cut (with a gear action polisher, a low repulsion pad and Ark Barrier GX compound) and polished (with a random orbital sander, an urethane pad and Ark Barrier GX and G compound). Even deep scratches made by the 1200 grid have removed and it has become mirror like shine.
